NAFS Team Expansion 2023 – New leaders and coaches
National Arts Fundraising School director Bernard Ross welcomes four new tutors to the NAFS training and coaching team in response to increased demand from arts, culture and heritage organisations in the UK. There are now four programmes a year- twice as many as pre-pandemic. And both residential and online programmes now feature much more blended content.

“We’ve seen an amazing growth in demand for places on the new updated programmes and are now running four a year rather than the traditional two.” said Bernard, “Our March 23 School is already full two months before it starts, and the five-week online programme starting in May is filling up rapidly. Tough decisions from ACE and Creative Scotland mean cultural organisations are increasingly looking to diversify their sources, and the School is recognised as the leading way to ensure survival and even plan for growth.”

Bernard went on: “We’ve spent six months headhunting some of the UK’s most effective fundraisers who are also terrific communicators. And the four new people we’ve recruited have boosted our team talent significantly.”

The expanded team now represents quite a mix with additional experience in the performing arts, diversity, heritage, youth engagement, and museum sectors. The team also now has a specialist in the vital leisure and local government sector.
