Who we are
Teatro Nacional D. Maria II is one of the Portuguese national theatres. Founded in 1846, it currently pursues a public service mission in theatre, presenting both repertoire and new dramaturgy. D. Maria II focuses on audience inclusion, education, and creation. One of its present priorities is to open the Theatre to the community.
